Discovering Your Coaching Blindspots
Common Coaching Patterns Revealed
Discovering Your Coaching Blindspots
Our coaching is influenced by many factors, those we are aware of, and those we aren’t. We are generally aware of how our coach training, our prior experiences and, our unique style influences our coaching choices. However, the “invisible hand” of our conditioned and habituated patterns can significantly influence our coaching in ways we don’t know and can’t see. Further, because of our conditioning, we can tend to strongly believe that the coaching choices we are making are objective ones.
When our unconscious narratives and patterns show up in our coaching, they become our coaching blindspots. These blindspots impact our coaching in ways that are not present for and supportive of our coachees. By becoming aware of our patterns and their related narratives, we can ensure that our blindspots don’t get in the way of our coaching.
So how might we identify our coaching blindspots? Role-play! We’ve created this course using coach/coachee role plays and invite you into the coaches seat so that you can evaluate your own response for possible blindspots.
Join us for this illuminating course to explore your blindspots and see new possibilities in yourself and in your coaching.
